I’ve always loved this sequence of shots. Clean, visually metaphorical and to the point. The movie is Heaven, directed by Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run) from the screenplay by Krzysztof Kieślowski and his writing partner Krzysztof Piesiewicz.

Philippa (Cate Blanchett) has just planted a bomb in the office of a powerful businessman whom she holds responsible for the overdose death of her husband. She manages to slip the bomb into a wastebasket, leaves the building and makes two phone calls, the first to make sure the secretary is out of the office at the time of the explosion, the second to assume responsibility for her actions before the proper authorities. And here the sequence starts.
