George: A few times in my life I’ve had moments of absolute clarity, when for a few brief seconds the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh. Last night’s power outage.
These photos reminded me so much of the 1997 movie Insomnia (directed by Erik Skjoldbjærg) and its chilling last shot. Piece of advice, if you don’t know what I’m talking about: check out the Norwegian original, and by all means SKIP(!) the American remake.
