A new chapter for Iris' Journal

This blog started out with a very vague objective. It was the idea of a capital F-friend and it was meant as an outlet, at first for my writing which has always been choppy and vague itself and then for the photographs I began to take, and take more seriously. The same capital F-friend kept stepping up his encouragement. There was interest and feedback, then hands-on help in finding a good compact camera, then cheering in the bleachers at the prospect of a photography course. All of which made and make me smile widely.
These are currently two things I would hate to have to do without: writing and photographing. The former having just come back to me of its own volition after a bout of jealousy over possibly having felt relegated to playing second fiddle to my lately inseparable Blue Lumix. As it turns out it’s just as important to me. And so I’ve decided to create a writing corner for myself. An Iris’ Journal within Iris’ Journal - an actual journal where I can write (hopefully on a daily basis) and at the same time work on being less selective and critical of myself.
