As it got darker, the colors began to emerge and soon it seemed light, color and people to admire their beauty was all that was left of the world. It was an enchanting evening that reminded me a lot of a Northern Exposure episode I posted here. A nod to Giancarlo Neri for creating this and to the unforgettable Chris Stevens and his priceless sensibility.

Up until 7:30pm or so, it was just anticipation (thanks to daylight savings time)… There was plenty of walking around the square, finding random shots, like the blurry moon beyond the tree branches (my favorite of the shots below) and the lovely surprise of running into Mara who secretly captured me in action.

Aftermath of Building Collapse in Downtown Rio de Janeiro
